The student will develop strategies using permutations and combinations to solve contextual problems. The student will create combinations and permutations of shapes with and without replacement.
Real world application
Permutations and combinations are used to find out how many groupings of different items can be made. Even if you only have 5 different shirts and 2 different pairs of pants, it is still possible to make 10 different outfits. If you only have bread, peanut butter, marshmallow, jelly, and bananas, you could still make 15 different sandwiches.
