Mirrors and lenses are used each day in a variety of applications. Different types of mirrors and lenses are designed for different purposes. What kind of mirror would you want to use to see a magnified image of your face? What type of lens would a doctor prescribe for a nearsighted patient? How do the properties of an image depend on the mirror or lens that forms it?
