Students will be able to investigate and analyze the velocity, frequency, period, wavelength, and amplitude of a transverse wave and compare characteristics and behaviors of transverse waves.

Real world applications

Transverse waves are all around you. Heat, light, and other forms of electromagnetic radiation travel in the form of transverse waves. How can transverse waves such as these be characterized?
